Position: Freelance Designer

We are looking for a talented and curious freelance designer with 3+ years of experience to support our creative work on a project basis.

About you:

You are a creative problem solver with a strong command of graphic design, layout, and the ability to flex conceptually across print and digital formats with intention. You thrive being a part of the ideation process and developing visual designs that communicate branding, typography applications, product design and function, motion graphics and animation, website mockups, and creative direction for various assets. And generally making things that challenge the mold.

We want you to love what you’re doing, so a passion for the cultural space, design, technology, and the future of digital experience is a must.

You will be responsible for:

• Research and prepare documents to communicate ideas to clients, including proposals, presentations and reports
• Support in business development, creative concepting process
• Participate in strategy brainstorm sessions
• Source references and identify trends and from the worlds of design, art, film and music
• Research, recommend and manage outreach to key partners and collaborators
• Gather statistics, press and prepare recap documents
• Coordinate with other team members to oversee creation and design of documents, presentations and digital or printed collateral

• Strong interpersonal, planning and analytical skills
• Excellent time management skills, demonstrated ability to organize, set and implement priorities while balancing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines

Bonus skills:

• 3D Graphics skills (Cinema 4D, Blender, etc)
• After Effects or similar motion graphics capabilities
• Creative coding capabilities (p5, processing, openframeworks)
• Basic understanding of the capabilities and limitations of HTML/CSS/Javascript
• Experience with design research
• Data visualization
• Illustration
