Antikythera: Philosophy of Planetary Computation is a digital platform that reimagines what a scholarly journal can be in an age shaped by planetary-scale computation.

Volume 2025 — Part One features 17 browser-based projects developed by 12 author–designer pairs, blending philosophy, speculative design, artificial life, and cinematic storytelling. Each article is a dynamic interface, combining text, sound, animation, image, and code to open new ways of engaging critical thought.

Projects range from cinematic essays and interactive simulations to philosophical diagrams and software environments. Together, they explore the convergence of synthetic intelligence, planetary infrastructures, and speculative cosmology. Each piece is the product of deep interdisciplinary collaboration between scientists, theorists, designers, and technologists, a type of trailblazing collaboration not seen before now.

Antikythera Journal sets a new gold standard for academic publishing, transcending the form entirely and doing something genuinely trailblazing.
